Jimmy Moreno, a.k.a HighDistortion, is the first player in Fortnite to reach 100k eliminations. This famous streamer plays for team TSM and is a popular figure on Twitch. He’s often spotted playing intense scrim matches with Dakotaz and doesn’t hesitate to push for a kill. Jimmy hit his stardom when he started broadcasting Solo vs Squad matches and started raking in 20-30 kills/match.
Jimmy uses a very high DPI value and has also set his sensitivity values to 0.7. Clearly, his style of play requires you to move fast and get into a lot of close-range battles. Hence, adopt this style if you’re already familiar with close-range aggressive play.
OTHER INTERESTS
Bodybuilding.
GAMING ORIGINS
HighDistortion started playing videos at a young age. By 12, he had acquired enough skills to participate in Halo tournaments. He moved on to Gears of War when he was a bit older and played it competitively for almost a decade.
When Fortnite was first released it took him a while to get into it because he was more interested in Overwatch (OW) and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds at the time and wasn’t really interested in trying out a third-person shooter game. In fact, the only reason that he tried it out was that he wanted something to do while was waiting a few hours for an OW suspension to end.
PROFESSIONAL GAMING
He opened his Twitch account in 2015 and streamed some of his Gears of War gameplay. However, he only really started streaming seriously in October 2017 when he started playing Fortnite. On January 11, 2018, he signed with TSM and quickly gathered followers, accumulating 3,100 subscribers by March 3, 2018, and 6,100 subscribers by June 10, 2018. He often plays duos with KingRichard.
He left TSM in October 2019 when the organization decided to cut back on its Fortnite team. He has since been going solo and occasionally been branching out into other battle royale and fps games.
INCOME
HighDistortion has an estimated ~10,000 subscribers, with an average viewership of ~4,430. This should earn him at least $35,000 USD per month, excluding additional income from tiered subscriptions, team salary, sponsorships, tips, Twitch cheer bit donations, merchandise sales, and advertisements. According to his Twitch biography, he has received at least $14,000 USD from his top ten donors alone and according to Esports Earnings, he won ~$47,000 USD between January 2018 and August 2019.
